Domenic Stramandinoli

Domenic has more than 14 years local experience partnering a chartered accounting firm and managing business services for an international accounting corporation. His reasons for founding Nexis in 2004 was to have free rein in developing commercial strategy and success for a valuable group of people he calls his ‘business partners’ – Friends, Colleagues, Clients and You.
Domenic is a Chartered Accountant and a registered tax agent.
When he’s not gaining an insight into wealth development for his partners by visiting their place of businesses, Domenic is spending time with his young family and watching sport around a BBQ with friends.

Scott Hammond

Scott’s career has had a meteoric rise since becoming a Chartered Accountant and registered Tax Agent in the early 90’s to cofounding Nexis in 2004. Scott provides you with exceptional taxation accounting and business advisory services. He especially enjoys assisting your business growth by personalised business structuring, monitoring and tax planning techniques.
Scott keeps close communication links with your financial allies such as planners, insurance brokers and bank managers.
On a Sunday afternoon, Scott can be found hitting birdies on the golf course or spending time with his wife and twins.

Michael Talevich

Michael joined the team at Nexis in August 2009 as Business and Taxation Manager. Prior to joining Nexis Accountants, Michael spent five years working in a big four accounting firm’s Tax Division.  Michael is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has commerce and law degrees from the Australian National University.
Michael has strong technical knowledge and extensive experience in providing complex taxation advice and services, to both the public and private sectors, across all Commonwealth taxes and has also provided advice on a number of international and state based tax issues.  Michael’s strong technical knowledge was formally recognised in 2008, when he was awarded the Institute of Chartered Accountant’s Canberra Candidate of the Year Award.  He is also utilised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Tax Institute of Australia as a technical presenter both in Canberra and Nationally.
Michael’s experience and knowledge have also ensured he has a strong understanding of what drives a business and he uses this as a key tool in providing advice to clients on how to grow their businesses.  He also has a deep understanding of the key factors which influence the value of a business and how these factors can be improved to improve the value of a business.
Michael’s strong drive sees him continuously looking for ways to improve himself professionally, and will be adding his professional legal qualifications to his resume in the next 18 months.
Outside of work, Michael has a diverse range of interests including; sitting as Treasurer on the Board of Volunteering ACT, playing golf, Australian rules football and mountain biking, and cooking delicious dinners for his wife.

Lesley Henderson
Lesley is a Chartered Accountant and Registered Tax Agent with Nexis Accountants with over 18 years of taxation and accounting experience. She has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Canberra and she has provided business services and taxation advice from within a variety of chartered firm environments.
Lesley joined the Nexis team in September 2009. At Nexis Lesley is responsible for client’s taxation and financial affairs including the provision of compliance services and business advisory services.
Lesley began her career with a small taxation practice before moving to the large international Chartered Accounting firm, Ernst & Young, where she studied to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.  Most recently she was part of the business services division of a large local accounting firm. She has been involved with a variety of private sector business clients in various industries, providing accounting services and business advice as required.
Lesley has managed the preparation of annual and interim Financial Statements for businesses and the lodgement of annual income tax returns for all classes of taxpayer. Her tax preparation experience ranges from small to large size individuals (including investors and non-residents), partnerships, trusts, companies and superannuation funds.  As well Lesley can prepare quarterly obligations to lodge Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
Originally from Sydney, Lesley has lived in Canberra for over 20 years and loves doing so with her husband and two children. Away from work Lesley enjoys crafts such as making cards. She is also enjoys cooking, entertaining and spending time with friends and family.
